Dooq Modular Sandals

What if your one pair of summer shoes could transform into 8 different styles?  I first read about Dooq a few weeks ago and was fascinated by the concept – the insole remains the same, but the straps and embellishment could be switched up in so many different ways!  Simply switch out the top and sides to create different looks to go with different summer outfits.  They have a Kickstarter campaign now to launch their sandals and it seems like a fashion-forward and sustainable concept perfect for summer!

The leather insole remains the same as does the ultralight EVA sole (which has traction so it’s not slippery like a lot of flip flops!)  I’m intrigued at the possibilities when switching out the side attachments, top, and top embellishment (which includes glass beads to).

So is this the perfect sandal for summer?

Otherwise this weekend I am…

…flying to New York! My, it will be exhausting!  The little one has been a trooper, but her schedule has been a bit crazy which leaves us exhausted too. I’ve had a fun time with her though as we wandered around Union Square and by the pier.  She has been a bit chilly though so we’ve stayed indoors a lot.  But it will be great to get to NYC, which is WARMER, and see family and friends there. We’ll be going upstate as well for a few days.  Oh my, it will be tiring!  But I’ll be happy to eat some favorites – bring on the New York pizza and bagels!
