I’m constantly surprised and impressed by the number of savvy and chic options available for a lady on a budget. Â I would have never considered buying clothing and facewash at the same store. Â But today that is not only an option, but one that is attached with designer labels.
Here are four surprising stores for Chic ‘n Cheap wardrobe options:
1. Target
I have always loved Target for its everyday low prices and enviable selection of housewares and personal care items.  But I only started wandering into their apparel section in 2006 when GO collections was launched in collaboration with various hot designers.  I’ve gotten a few pieces like a Behnaz Sarafpour jacket for which I’m constantly getting compliments.  I’ve also highlighted their collections with Zac Posen, Eugenia Kim, Anna Sui and Temple St. Clair.  William Rast just launched their collection for Target recently so if you’re looking for great denim, check it out!
Luckily for us, Target is releasing 34 GO Collection dresses from past seasons next year. Â Keep an eye out for some options at your local store!
I first brought up their Norma Kamali collection here and it continues to be simple, chic, and super affordable. Â It’s great everyday wear and possibly work wear! Â Walmart? Clothing? Â Don’t reject it immediately especially if you are offered super versatile options from a known designer like Norma Kamali.
Oh and this collection has great clothing for traveling or even for bridesmaid dresses too like the one below.
Do you have any favorite designer collaboration pieces?
I can’t WAIT to go to Target when I’m home!!! So that’s off topic. But anyway, QVC surprised me here! Wal-mart didn’t – I’ve found the cutest cheapest things there, I ain’t ashamed!
i’m really into lanvin and h&m. the dresses are just so pretty and easily dressed up 🙂 wish there was one close to where i live.
LOVE the Target collaborations! (When you can get your hands on them!)

Whoa wal mart! Thanks for letting us know!
I die over everything from the Lanvin for H&M collection, but was unfortunately out of town the weekend it came to San Francisco. As you can imagine, it was sold out within hours. I did snag a Matthew Williamson dress there a few summers ago, though. Great spotlight!
I’m loving Lauren Conrad at Kohls!!!!
Target collabs are amongst my favorite; though I tend to stick to Forever 21 myself. I love their prices – and their products!! 🙂
Well I hate Walmart, I always get grossed out shopping there. But Target and H&M have some amazing options!
i love anything target and H&M… they are ideal for style and budget!!!
Awesome write up! I love love Norma Kamali for wal mart 😉
You know what, I actually love all of these! I’m with you! XX!
Great post! That was a very smart business move for Target to start incorporating design labels at budget price points. Great for both parties and for the consumer of course 🙂
p.s I’m your newest follower.
Love Target and H&M collaborations! Have yet to try the others… but a dress for $10 – sold… definitely going to check out WalMart… I guess I will be making my first trip to Wal Mart!
I’m so excited to hear that Target is doing that! I will need to scour those racks…xo
I can’t wait to check out the Target/William Rast collab!
@Shari – surprising right, but they do have some great options!
@Krysten – yeah I’m all about online shopping babe!
I love a bargain … so all of these are good in my books! 🙂
Great post here!! I’m all about those Target collabs, but haven’t really looked into QVC or Wally…perhaps it’s a sign. And QVC could be as painless as turning on the tv!
