Sensual Miami via Elle España May 2016

I’ve been thinking about Miami and Cuba lately.  Cuba’s fashion moment came recently as Chanel’s recent Resort 2017 show was hosted in Havana. While I’m not able to visit Cuba anytime soon, I think of Miami a lot whenever I think of Cuba (ahh and the Cuban food in Miami is mouth-watering!)  But it isn’t just about the food, I was also reminded of a sensual Miami via Elle España May 2016.  There is such a laid-back, but sultry vibe in Miami.  It’s certainly a place for showing a little skin, but also one where a fedora is an outfit staple.  The beaches are vibrant and lovely too with sunbathers of all walks of life relaxing and soaking in the bright Floridian rays.  I remember visiting a few of the gorgeous beachside hotels and restaurants at night when beach chic was transformed into tropical chic.

I’m not heading to Miami, but to a few of my other North American cities this weekend.  I can’t wait to eat some classic Jewish fare on the lower east side in NYC and savory, spicy tacos (hopefully chorizo and al pastor) on the West Coast.  I’m still dreaming of another visit to Miami to get some sun and great food.  In the meantime, I’ll keep those tropical chic vibes close.
