I am really loving anything with golden hues these days – I’m drawn to everything from gilded dinnerware to golden necklaces. The funny thing is, I really disliked golden tones when I was younger. I thought golden jewelry was cheesy and found the color too garish. But now I have a newfound love for Midas’ favorite hue and wear a few more gold pieces as well as scatter it through my house. The mild spring weather makes me want to bring out my gold jewelry and dine al fresco (um or I guess from my window in the mean time!) I especially like gold accents in my dinnerware, like sprinklings of gold in a tray or to hold candles. I’d love a new everyday necklace and a modern pearl pendant would definitely be a classic item for me. I’m not shopping a lot these days. But when I do shop, I am thoughtful about getting classic pieces I’d wear for a while.

Headphones are so key when I’m trying to listen in on a meeting or a new book. How chic are these?
I wasn’t much of a fan of gold when I was younger either. I think it might have something to do with my experience with that yellow gold that’s popular with Asians. Kinda gaudy yknow ;p I don’t mind gold as much now though I still prefer white and rose gold. Aurate has great quality pieces. I have the Icon necklace with diamonds in white gold. It’s a nice classic piece with a modern feel and I always get compliments whenever I wear it.

When I was younger I thought the same thing about gold! I find that I am reaching out for gold jewelry and gold accented items now more than ever.
Those are lovely pieces, especially the gold circle necklace! I don’t have a lot of gold accessories, I’m more of a silver person, but do love a few gold pieces I do have 🙂

Gold is on the comeback and I’m here for it 100%. It’s a timeless look that can be both modern and vintage, and am very interesting in some of these necklaces for my sister’s birthday coming up!
