“When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the dance floor. It’s to enjoy each step along the way.”
Wayne Dyer
When was the last time that you danced? I danced a little last night as I was putting my baby to bed. He is such a smiley little guy and loves it when we play little games or do silly dances with him. I was looking at this lovely editorial of Maria Kochetkova for Vogue Taiwan January 2018 and thought about all the different types of dances. While Maria is a prima ballerina that captures pretty cool scenes of her ballet life on Instagram (I’m here – let’s connect!), she shows that we can a little pose or dance anywhere. We aren’t all meant to be ballerinas. But we should feel free to express and enjoy ourselves. As Wayne Dyer mentions above, it is also about appreciating the process of dancing. We could be celebrating an achievement, a milestone, or simply a good day. So dance a little, even if it’s just at home, and relish every moment!
Have a lovely week!
these are so beautiful x
Dancing can really make you smile & happy! I love that quote. People often forget that.

What a fabulous quote, and this editorial is so fun!
wow this is spectacular! i love the vision and idea behind this. fusing art and dance. gorgeous. the last time i danced was probably this morning. albeit completely uncoordinated and just for fun. i have my little “dance” i do every now and then hahahaha. it’s probably not considered dancing though.

Be still my heart. I adore editorial with ballerinas. These images are fantastic!
I must say, that dance quote really exemplifies the whole life is about the journey and not the destination thing. Very true when it comes to dancing and equally true in life in general.
good reminder 🙂 and AMAZIng PHOTOS!!
I love this post, the meaning is so unique and the photographs illustrate eachother really nicely. The last time I danced was in the super market in front of my two year old niece yesterday because she found it funny haha, I think we all just need to dance more!
