“Color is a power which directly influences the soul.”
Wassily Kandinsky
As a native New Yorker, I am no stranger to wearing black. Stereotypical New Yorkers are busy, brusque, and pretty much ignore each other. The color black certainly reflects this “Leave me alone.” mood. It’s a chic, but serious color to wear. There’s a reason why there isn’t a lot of black clothing for kids right? I thought of the impact of colors on seeing this editorial of Gisele Bündchen by Mario Testino for Vogue Paris June July 2017.
There is a prevalence of bright, bold colors in this editorial. I love the sense of vitality and youth conveyed by these hues. It reminds me that I also feel lighter and happier when I wear certain colors (reds and pinks mostly). A certain color or set of colors can certainly not only convey, but also change my mood. I used to be much more conservative with my color choices, but love to wear something a bit more colorful some days. May you have a few colorful days too!
That’s so true. I wear black a lot. I love pairing a color with a neutral.
This photoshoot is so beautiful! Giselle always looks great.

I have never been a fan of her, I just find her to look…different and not in a good way. :-/
I’m not really into Giselle, but I do like all this color. That yellow ruffle dress with the green sock boots — yes, please!
I probably would not wear any of these but that orange jumpsuit is pretty cool! <3 I typically love wearing colourful outfits.

Love this editorial spread. I go in color waves. Sometimes black just feels right.
I’m a life long New Yorker and I only got into wearing black in the past 10 years. I always thought it was so cliched but I just love the ease of it now. Of course pink is still my happy color 🙂
I love the bold, bright colors of these looks!
