Hello dear friends!
As you may know already, this Chic ‘n Cheap Living gal is now moving her web home to little luxury list. Please let me know if the feed or website don’t redirect you!
So why did I change websites?
I decided to make the switch because I had been thinking about the concepts of cheap and luxury for a while.
I’m certainly proud of being cheap because I am pretty good at finding deals on everything from vintage Chanel purses to shopping on eBay for random materials like silk tulle for my veil. Being cheap has saved me money while still enabling me to remain chic.
I also love luxurious items. There are some items, like this gold Givenchy gown, which I admire for its attention to detail and workmanship.
But I likely won’t be wearing this gown any time soon. I’m content enough to admire it and now have a better understanding of why some goods, like a few Hermès products, really take time (seriously 2 years to make a scarf) and expert artisans to make them a reality. Thus sometimes it really makes sense why luxury goods come with luxury pricing.
While I love luxurious goods, I like the definition of luxury as being in a state of “great comfort or elegance”. Yes, luxurious products can certainly be elegant. But what else is part of a luxurious life? I think luxury includes:
– time to enjoy your life and loved ones
– the ability to travel and explore other parts of the world
– access to things that cause me joy
– moments of happiness and peace
– appreciation for the beauty in an environment
So I’m evolving and continuing to find great deals while also ensuring that I lead an elegant and comfortable lifestyle too. I can also create, travel, and eat to my heart’s content and document it in this little luxury list.
Thanks for following along friends and may we all enjoy the simple comforts of our own little luxury lists!

I can definitely get behind the new name change and reason for it. Beautiful Pinterest images–especially that Givenchy gown.
This change certainly sounds like it reflects where are right now. I would agree with your definition of luxury.
I use InDesign for my collages. I don’t think cronuts are going away anytime soon so you’ll get your chance 🙂

That gold gown is gorgeous!
Sometimes we do need to redefine ourselves, and living a life that feels luxurious should be everyone’s goal. Especially if you can still do it on the cheap.
Your definition of luxury is so spot on – love it!

Love this new concept and rebrand idea. I’m moving too – tomorrow actually. Rebirth is good!
