It is probably no wonder that some of your favorite quotes come from some of your favorite books. I still remember a quote from a favorite novel, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, that talked about how one should always pursue her dreams – “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.â€
Litographs lets us remember our favorite books by combining the text from famous pieces with designs that represent those works. A litograph takes approximately the first two-thirds of a book and designs the text into a tell tale image of the book that is printed on quality bond paper. In addition, the company is a strong proponent of literacy and has partnered with the International Book Bank to give a book to child in need for each poster sold. The posters are priced very well at under $50 for a 24″ x 36″ size and are made to order.
Fun design, a famous book, and a charitable cause – what’s not to love?
I was immediately drawn to A Little Princess and Les Mis, but ultimately decided on Peter Pan and was sent a print for my review. It immediately brought me back to the beauty of the book and I loved trying to find famous pieces of the text. I hope to have it in a child’s room some day and have it as a reminder of the joys of being a kid. These prints would be great in a home office, living room, or child’s room and make for great statement pieces. They would also make for fabulous gifts as well.
