“I love to see other women in pink. It’s good for every shade of skin and hair.”
Elizabeth Hurley
How do you feel about pink? I’m like Elizabeth Hurley and love to see other women in pink. When I saw this editorial of women in pink via Glamour Italia April 2016, I was also happy. Pink is a bright feminine color with so many different shades and meanings. Everyone can’t wear every shade of pink (dusty rose washes me out) but everyone has a shade of pink that is lovely for them. I am partial to softer hues of pink, like those in soft, new ballet shoes. But I am also drawn to a rich, bold pink that fits in perfectly in a tropical setting; a few of my favorites pieces in my closet are a dark pink asymmetrical midi skirt and my dark pink Chanel WOC.
I’ve also wanted my daughter to be exposed to all things, including colors, so she wouldn’t be biased towards shades that are necessarily more “girlish”. She has many dresses, but so many blue ones. Funny enough though, her current favorite articles of clothing are a pink fedora that she stole from me (I really don’t know how she fits it) and a pair of coral pink shorts with pockets. It is funny that she adores and gravitates towards pink. But I can see that she genuinely enjoys the bright pop pink lends to her outfits. It’s a shade that is associated with prettiness, femininity, and spring. But it’s also just a fun color. So rock that pink!
Have a lovely week!
Pink is my happy color and I love it in all shades. That’s a great quote and I think there is a shade of pink that flatters everyone 🙂
I don’t wear a lot of pink. I blame that on growing up in a very pink bedroom. I do like this editorial though 🙂
I recently got myself a bold pink pair of flats that make me smile each time I look down:) Kisses, darling
Amazing photos!
